Discover the wonderful flavours and aromas of Vietnamese cuisine during this fun and hands-on cooking class. After you've studied the recipe and bought the necessary ingredients and equipment, tune into a live Zoom session with an expert chef. On the menu, you will be whipping up three healthy and delicious Vietnamese dishes like fish sauce dip, spring rolls and traditional chicken noodle soup. You'll learn how to use fresh ingredients and balance the flavours of sweet, sour, spicy and salty perfectly. Once complete, sit down and devour your mouthwatering creations.

What to bring:

  • NUOC CHAM: fish sauce dipping sauce, chilli, garlic, lime juice fish sauce, rice vinegar and sugar
  • CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP: one whole chicken, spring onion, coriander leaf, fried onions, bean sprout, Thai basil, lime wedges and thinly chilli slices, 1kg fresh flat noodles or two packs of dry Pho noodles, fish sauce, rock sugar, salt and pepper
  • SPRING ROLLS (vegetarian or pork): 120g pork/chicken mince, one pcs spring onion sliced and chopped, 2cm carrot diced, 1/2 egg beaten optional to bind, one package of frozen spring roll pastry (defrost 1-2 hours before you make it) iceberg and mint, Nuoc cham dipping sauce

Session Length

  • The online class is run over two hours, you may start the course at any time when you have the recipes and class notes
  • Online classes are available on select Saturdays at 2pm. You will receive a Zoom link to access the class

  • To get started, make sure you have the following equipment: Sharp knife, cutting board, sturdy saucepans, large pots, a steamer set of small bowls, food processor or a mortar and pestle, roller, spatula, tong, serving spoon, measuring cups and a scale
  • In the case of special dietary requirements, the provider can suggest suitable substitutions
