    There are so many yummy things that you can make with dough and pastry, when you know how. Our dough and pastry cooking class is designed to let you discover the joys of cooking with your own dough and pastry. The possibilities are endless!

    Dough and pastry plays an integral part in our everyday diets. With the bread, cereal and pasta group featuring so heavily in the food pyramid, it’s of no surprise. Items from this food group, however, often come to us pre-baked or packaged, so it’s great to learn how to cook these staples from scratch. Take a little flour, egg and water and let’s begin!

    When you arrive for your cooking class, your teacher will give you a brief overview of the lesson, after which you’re free to flour your hands and start cooking! Throughout the class you’ll learn how to prepare a range of dishes, from savoury to sweet. The menu for each class will depend on which ingredients are in season at the time, however dishes may include homemade pizza bases, sweet pastries, tartlets, breads and quick and easy pastry courses.

    Sound mouthwatering? You won’t be left hanging on because throughout the cooking class you’ll get to enjoy a taste of each dish.

    The classes are hands-on and held in a beautifully presented home premises, where you’ll be taken through the many aspects involved in creating each dish – from preparing and cooking to presenting the food.

    At the end of the class, you’ll be able to take home the meals you’ve prepared. You’ll also take home recipes, which will allow you to recreate the delicious meals in your own home.

    After completing this cooking class, you’ll have a wonderful array of dough and pastry dishes to add to your repertoire. You will probably spend the next week eating breads and pastries for breakfast…lunch…and dinner!
    On the Day

    Session Length

    This experience is available on selected Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the year. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. Classes start 10am or 6.30pm and run for three hours.

    Numbers on the Day

    The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a maximum of six people in the class to ensure you get the most out of this experience.


    This experience takes place indoors and is therefore not affected by the weather.

    Dress Code

    Casual and comfortable clothing is recommended. For your own safety, please wear closed-in shoes. An apron will be provided on the day.
