Depart at first light and enjoy the peace and tranquility at this time on the water. Soft morning colours start to filter through the sky. Land at a secluded beach, bush walk to breathtaking views and enjoy a light snack. Freshen up with a swim before returning to start your day feeling energised.

Depart at first light and enjoy the peace and tranquility of how quiet and calm it is at this time on magnificent Pittwater. Set off for the western foreshore as the soft morning colours start to filter through creating a silhouette of Barrenjoey Headland and the Norfolk Pines on Palm Beach.

Pausing to “raft up” along the way to keep the group together, you’ll learn about the local Aboriginal and European history of the area. Arriving at one of the picturesque beaches on the Western foreshore near day break, bask in the sun’s warming rays and soak up the atmosphere. You’ll think you’re on a deserted island.

Take a bushwalk in Ku Ring Gai National Park as the kookaburras welcome the morning sun. Once you arrive at the view point, marvel at the breathtaking views that unfold of Pittwater, Barrenjoey Head and Palm Beach. Enjoy a light snack before heading back to the beach for a well deserved swim in the calm, crystal clear water.

Session Length

  • Tour runs 6am – 8am: Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan
  • Tour runs 6.30am – 8.30am: Feb, Mar
  • Please arrive at least 15min before departure time

Guidelines

  • Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult
  • Paddlers should have a moderate level of fitness
  • No experience necessary
  • Suitable for people of all ages and abilities
  • A moderate fitness level is required
  • Clients should make guides aware of any medical conditions
  • This is a seasonal experience available from September - March only
  • Women who are 5 months pregnant or more should not kayak without prior medical approval

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.

  • The provider may need to cancel tours due to bad weather, however, an alternative tour date can be arranged within the next 6 months of the cancelled date
  • Refunds will not be offered and at least 24 hours notice must be given if you wish to change your booking
  • If you do not show up for your booked tour you will not have the opportunity to reschedule
  • As all tours are group tours, if you are late, the tour may leave without you
  • By participating in a tour you agree for the provider to use any images or videos taken of you for the purposes of marketing, publicity, promotional, or direct mailing (unless you notify the provider otherwise)
  • Clients will have 6 months to reschedule their tour
  • Clients may change their bookings but must give at least 24 hours notice

Weather

Dress Code

Clients should wear clothes that can get wet. Wear swimmers underneath with light weight quick dry clothing on top. Wear layers if it is cold and a spray jacket if it is windy or looks like rain. Bring sensible shoes for the bush walk. Bring a towel and change of clothes for once the tour is finished. Don't wear denim jeans or long pants.
