Navigating your way through whitewater rapids in winter might sound a little too frosty for some but if you're looking for the most action packed kayak adventure, this is the tour for you. On average the water level is a metre higher in winter than summer, so get ready for some high energy fun!

With your expert guides instructing you along the way, even beginners will be able to navigate the winter rapids – on average higher and more challenging than those in summer. Rug up in thermals and protective gear and get ready fun an action packed journey down the Yarra River that will challenge your kayaking skills!
With water that resembles boiling cauldrons, river-wide sized holes, big pushy waves and fast flowing whitewater; the river in winter is one long succession of thrills and spills! Brave the cold and be rewarded with an exhilarating few hours that will leave you grinning the whole day!

The provider does not cancel this trip for rain. Weather rarely affects the trip however, it will be cancelled if lightning or severe winds are apparent, you will be rescheduled. If you choose to cancel because it is raining on the day you will not be eligible to re book.
Please wear a few layers of warm clothing. Do not wear cotton. Thermals, wool and synthetic fabric work best. You must wear closed toe footwear. We recommend you bring a waterproof jacket and pants if you have them.
There are GoPro mounts on the helmets for you to use with your own GoPro camera.
