Looking for a new way to see the coast of Western Australia? Perfect for beginners, this sea kayak tour is the perfect way to get up close and personal with the wildlife and marine life in the Shoalwater Marine Park, while taking in views of sandy beaches and crystal clear waters.
You'll meet us in Safety Bay and on arrival, you'll be fitted out with a sun shirt, hat, life-jacket and snorkelling gear. And after a quick kayaking lesson from an experienced guide on the beach, you'll head out!
Your guide will share local knowledge as you see sea lions, a pelican colony, fairy penguins and rugged islands and beautiful beaches. After all that kayaking, we're pretty sure you will have worked up a bit of an appetite, that's why you'll be provided with morning tea and lunch.
This tour is a great sampler of what sea kayaking is like but at a gentler pace to ensure you thoroughly enjoy your kayaking experience! Relax as you take in stunning views from the water's edge.
This tour is available Tuesday to Sunday from mid-September to May, subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers. Return to car park at approximately 2pm.
To participate in this tour you will need to be at least eight years of age. All children under 18 years of age need to be accompanied by a paying adult. Please note: If you weigh over 100 kilograms please advise the tour operator at the time of booking.
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.
There is a minimum of two participants required and operates with a maximum of 16.
This tour maybe cancelled due to bad weather. Your tour operator will contact you in the evening on the day prior to your booking to reschedule.
Please come dressed in bathers and boardshorts/quick dry shorts that may get wet. It is recommended to bring a warm layer on cool days, especially in spring and autumn. Capricorn Seakayaking can supply long sleeve sunshirts (rashies) and broad-brim hats; you are welcome to bring your own if you have them.
The experience provider will supply mask and snorkel from late November to early April. Snorkelling is offered in the warmer summer months when conditions are suitable.
This tour is approximately an hour south of Perth.
