Enjoy a half-day paddle on the beautiful Lake Fyans, just a short drive from Halls Gap with one of the experienced and knowledgeable guides. Relax, unwind and take in the striking natural landscapes of Grampians/Gariwerd National Park.
Canoeing can give you the chance to relax and unwind surrounded by striking natural landscapes. Following a safety briefing, your qualified guides will introduce you to the techniques needed to manoeuvre successfully around the lake. Learn all about the local environments from your passionate guides as you combine interesting scenery with the chance of encountering local wildlife, whilst sharing stories and imparting knowledge about the area.
Please allow approximately two hours for this experience.
Group sizes may range from a minimum of two to a maximum of 10.
Spectators are not possible for canoeing due to the nature of the experience moving around the lake.
The weather can certainly impact your experience in the outdoors. Rain and wind can impact the experience operator's ability to run the sessions and importantly, your ability to enjoy them. Absolute Outdoors reserves the right to modify, reschedule or cancel a tour based on weather conditions on the day
While swimming is unlikely, you should dress in clothes that are able to get wet and also offer good sun protection as there is no shade on the lake! Sun hats are essential as are secure and sturdy footwear - sandals or old runners are ideal, thongs are not.
This experience is run on Lake Fyans, approximately 15 minutes drive from the centre Halls Gap.
