Jump on board the luxury catamaran for a sailing experience which is the perfect setting for a fun filled day out! Whether it's an active day out with your loved one, or a family sailing adventure for a bit of relaxation, a sailing trip to the beautiful Carnac Island is the perfect setting for a relaxing few hours out on the water away from the hectic pace of modern life. Your vessel is a luxuriously appointed 43ft Schionning catamaran. The sailing excursion will take you through Cockburn Sound as we make our way over to Carnac Island, home to a colony of sea lions and numerous sea birds.

Watch in wonder at the beautiful local coastline as you relax in the comfort on this luxurious vessel. You'll be provided with morning tea and light refreshments or tea/coffee. The Catamaran is stocked with all the crockery, cutlery and glasses you will need and for the more adventurous, they also carry two kayaks, a cargo net, a stand up paddle board and snorkeling equipment. As they are based out of Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour and usually return at 12.00pm, dropping you back in time for lunch at one of a number of local restaurants in Fremantle.

Session Length

This experience is four hours in duration
You need to be at the Sardine Jetty by 7.45am to board Capella for a 8am departure. You will arrive back at 12pm

Restrictions

Pregnancy: Expectant guests who are 28-36 weeks pregnant will require medical clearance to board. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate anyone over 36 weeks gestation. Limit of 8 per group booking.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
Reschedules must be sent via email directly to the operator, contact details will be provided once your experience is confirmed. Please quote your booking reference and requested changes. Please note only one reschedule will be allowed per booking and must be processed before the cut-off: 72 hours before departure, within the same season. Subsequent changes will incur a fee of $25pp.
Participant name changes are permitted and must be sent via email directly to the operator at least 24 hours prior to departure. Operator contact details will be provided once your experience is confirmed. Please provide guests full name, mobile number and email address.
Bookings for 4 or more - 7 days notice required
Any changes or cancellations to bookings need to be made directly with Charter 1

Requires a guest minimum of 10 to proceed. Typical maximum is 24

Weather

Tours proceed in all conditions provided the operator deems it is safe. If postponement is required for safety reasons, you will be contacted by the operator.

Dress Code

It is advisable to bring a warm pullover or jacket - ocean conditions can become cool quickly, especially after sunset. Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are recommended. Note: sailing is a barefoot activity. The crew will advise where to stow shoes once onboard.

Other Info

Please note: Shoes are not allowed on deck, you are however welcome to wear them inside. Shorts or pants are the most comfortable option for sailing. All tours is non smoking and the use of drones onboard is prohibited.

Had a great time on this tour. The crew were very organised and accommodated for all groups. Was able to snorkel with sea lions and kayak, paddle board. A very enjoyable experience which I would rate.

Fantastic service from both our skipper Dan and his first hand Nouska seals to lazy to swim but who can blame them it was hot. Nothing was too much trouble and always done with a smile. the catamaran was clean and tidy and comfortable and easy to find, it kind of sticks out in the bright yellow. Thanks Charter 1, well done.

Who knew that just out if Fremantle there were turquoise waters, white sand, brilliant blue skies to rival other West Aussie coastal treasures- Ningaloo, Esperance, Cape Peron with the addition of pindan red? Curious sealion added to the experience immersion.

Sailing to Carnac Island

What a beautiful way to spend a morning - the water was perfect, the boat was wonderful and the hosts were helpful and explained all we needed to know in detail. We spent time in the water and even had an up-close look at a sea-lion as he swam past us while we were snorkelling. It was my first time snorkelling and this was the perfect way to experience it. Highly recommend this day out and hope to do it again one day soon as well.
