White Water Kayaking - Half Day Tour

• Please allow three hours total for this experience
• There is about 45 minutes of logistics prior to getting on the river - get your paddling gear on, do a car shuttle and a safety brief
• There is about 90 - 100 minutes on the river, then 35 minutes to get off the river, get changed and pack the gear up

• Pregnant women or anyone with a pre-existing medical condition that affects their mobility, should check with their doctor before booking
• Average fitness levels are recommended

• Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
• Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Group numbers will vary for each trip. Minimum numbers of 4 apply, with a usual maximum of up to 12 plus the guide/s. There is a maximum of 20 participants. Larger groups are available for special events/functions. Depending on group size, there will usually be a minimum of 1 tour guide for up to 5 craft.

Warm fleecy tops are provided on wet, windy and cooler days. In the case of extreme weather, Total Fire Bans, severe weather or flood warnings or high winds, access to the tree lined river may be closed and very high river levels may cause us to postpone tours due to safety considerations. All tours are reconfirmed a few days prior when the weather forecast is more accurate but clients can also contact the tour operator with any queries.

Please wear comfortable clothes that may get wet and are suitable for the weather conditions; gym wear, leggings or fleecy tops and woollen socks are preferable at colder times. Shorts and synthetic tshirts are fine for warm sunny summer days. Closed toe shoes such as runners are a must. A list is provided upon booking. Bring a change of dry clothes and a small towel too that can be left in your vehicle so you have access to it at the end of the tour. Water bottles are highly recommended but please don't bring glass.

Children between the ages of 6 and 13 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or older sibling/friend of 14 years and up on the water. For those between 14-16 years, a parent or guardian must be at the pick up and drop off points as public amentities blocks can be used.

This experience takes place in the gorgeous old gold mining village of Warrandyte in the Yarra Valley, Victoria.
