This kayak tour starts with introduction of the equipment and paddle practice, prior to slipping onto the calm smooth waters of the Clyde river in your double sea kayak. In no time you will become part of the successful story that is oyster farming on the Clyde river, Batemans Bays largest estuary system. Oysters are offered for sale on this experience. We can load as many dozen as you wish in your stable double sea kayak.

Learn about the local cultivation techniques, the science behind farming, oyster varieties and life as an oyster farmer from Jade, Greg and Enola from the Oyster Shed on Wray Street. Be treated, eating the freshest oysters you can, taken from the river that morning. Following the tasting and talk, kayak through working oyster farms, between live racks brimming with product, past packing sheds all within easy floating distance of your starting location at the Batemans Bay bridge, all part of the Batemans Marine Park and Clyde River National Park. Please note during the tour you will taste 3 oysters - you are welcome to end at the oyster shed to relax and enjoy more!

Dress for an active outdoor adventure, wear a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses.

Please meet at the public beach on Wray Street, Batemans Bay, NSW 2536. We do not have an office at this location, look for the guides, the kayaks and heaps of fun!

Really enjoyed this experience. Very informative about the oyster growing process, some wonderful samples. Nice paddle through the oyster lines and across to the oyster sheds. Paddling is lovely and not too much if you aren't an active person.

Great experience!

Unfortunately, we had a rainy day but that didn't stop the staff from letting us having a great time. Our guide, Amy, was awesome, and learning all about oysters and oyster farms whilst on a kayak was an overall great experience. I also went with my partner who has always strongly disliked oysters but gave it a go and now likes oysters!

We booked it because we love oysters and kayaking. Josh and Will were amazing, it was like meeting old friends. So friendly, so knowledgeable and just great fun to be around. Shout out to the Wray St Oyster girls, they were amazing and we learnt a lot.
