Join your guides for a kayak tour of the beautiful Double Island. Departing from the south end of beautiful Palm Cove, arrive at the island after a 20-30 minute paddle. Enjoy the experience of paddling along side coral reef and across beautiful white sandy shallow waters. Because the water is often very clear, you will often see tropical marine life such as turtles and small rays on the journey.

Once at Double Island, it is time to explore the reef before paddling back to the start point at Palm Cove with the chance to see lots of marine life such as eagle rays, shovel nose sharks, mangrove rays, colourful fish and sea turtles.

Awesome kayak to and around double island

Luke was a great host. We didn’t get super close to the turtles but it was cool seeing them bop their heads out of the water. It was a good solid kayak to double island then stopping at a few spots on the island and exploring along the way. With a stop for snorkelling along the way too. Highly recommend booking this tour.

Kayaking directly off the beach at Palm Cove was a great way to start the day. We had perfect weather so the water was calm and clear. Paddling out amd around Double Island provided an amazing view back to the mainland. Our father and son team were informative, friendly and kept a relaxing pace. Highly recommend it when visiting Palm Cove.

This was an oustanding experience provided by an absolutely skilled father-son duo who looked after each and everyone in the kayak group. The double Island was a hidden gem and you can't really describe the visuals in word. A must have experience if you are up in Cairns.
