Escape the hustle and bustle of Sydney for a relaxing half day discovering the beautiful Pittwater. Departing from Bayview Anchorage Marina on kayak, explore Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park’s creeks and coves – accessible only by water! Paddle around Scotland Island and past picturesque bays, cliffs and bushland before pulling into a secluded beach for morning tea. Take in the tranquil surroundings while feasting on a picnic-style spread of fresh fruit and pastries. Choose to take a dip in the inviting waters or pop on your walking shoes for a bushwalk among the gum trees. The destination? A hidden rainforest waterfall above Lovett Bay. Your experienced local guide will share in-depth knowledge on the region and its native flora and fauna. After a blissful day on the water, you’ll forget that Sydney is only an hour away!

Important information

Session Length

This experience is approximately four hours long
Must arrive at the Bayview Anchorage Marina at 9am, for a 9:30am departure. Return time is between 1-1:30pm depending on wind and participant's stamina
This tour is offered on Saturdays with weekday tours available

Guidelines

Must be able to paddle for up to three hours (with breaks)
All participants need to be able to swim and have a moderate fitness level
Not recommended for children under 12 years
Children and teenagers from 12 years old upwards may participate, as long as they are accompanied by an adult (18 years or over)
One adult is required per child or teen

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This tour runs with a maximum of 12 paddlers in six double sea kayaks.

Weather

In the event of windy or dangerous weather conditions, you will be notified and offered to reschedule the tour for another date.

Dress Code

Bring a hat, sunglasses, comfortable quick-drying clothes suitable for the weather and a change of clothes for the trip home. Depending on the season, dress for both sun protection and warmth knowing all attire can get wet. This experience includes both kayaking and a short bush walk. Suitable footwear is recommended.

Such an enjoyable day

This was such a fun day. Justin is such a friendly person and was able to show us some beautiful parts of the Pittwater that we would never have known about. We paddled past some lovely mangroves and into some serene and pristine little coves. We pulled our kayaks up onto a beach where we had a lovely picnic of a fresh chicken salad and some chips and chocolates. A perfect combination! There was also an easy bushwalk to a waterfall. Justin is very generous and let us have some extra time to do some paddling and exploring on our own. A perfect day out!

The tour was fabulous, ran so seamlessly and the whole time I felt safe, well catered for, able to speak up if I was having problems, and it was a very exciting and new experience for me. I loved your guidance, you had such a good balance of talking with giving us time to soak in the peace. Everything was well explained and the morning tea was such a nice touch.
