Enjoy a leisurely kayak up the Bermagui River and back, led by an expert guide. Take in the natural surroundings as you pass herons foraging on the shoreline and cormorants drying their wings on tree branches. Then stop for a lovely morning tea underneath the mangrove trees.
This leisurely kayak up the Bermagui River, led by an expert local guide, makes for the perfect introduction to kayaking or for a more relaxed outing for experienced kayakers looking for an easy-going option. Along sheltered flat water with minimal currents, you will pass mangrove trees and catch a glimpse of herons foraging on the shoreline and cormorants drying their wings on tree branches. Further upriver, you will have even more opportunities to take in the natural surroundings and listen to the tranquil sound of the bellbirds before stopping along the river bank for a morning tea break and if the weather is lovely, perhaps even a swim before getting back in your kayak for the return trip. With a morning tea that includes plunger coffee, black leaf tea or peppermint tea, sugar and local full cream milk from Tilba Dairy as well as seasonal fruit, a gluten-free caramel slice and fruit juice from Blend Cafe, the aim is to have you relaxed and feeling at one with nature.
Guest's hip width should not exceed 50 cm when seated to comfortably fit inside the touring kayak. Please let us know at time of booking if this is a concern, as we have alternatives and can use our sit on top kayaks

Hat, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen, and shoes that can get wet are recommended. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring with you any personal medication needed and a 1 litre refillable water bottle as a minimum.
