If you're looking for a relaxing morning on the water this is NOT the one for you! This is a real kayaking adventure of between 8 & 12 KM out from Blackwattle Bay, Under the Anzac & Harbour Bridge and depending on the strength of the group possibly as far as Fort Denison. This one is the real deal!

What's included?

Expert guide, double sea kayaks and all the equipment needed

This is a proper mini kayaking expedition using narrow tandem kayaks (Mirage 730's) These are fast kayaks but as we will be paddling between 8 and 12 KM participants need to have a high fitness level. Of course we'll get some great photo opportunities of you in your kayak out front of the Harbour Bridge & Opera House as well as giving you lots of informative and historical commentary. Our boatshed is right next door to The New Sydney Fish Markets so you ca treat yourself to a well earned feed when we're finished. Full change rooms and facilities available to get de-salted before you leave!

Not Suitable for XL waist size (enclosed kayaks)

Guidelines

Weight limit is 90kg
Participants must be able to swim and be comfortable in the water; high level of fitness is required
Participants should have no serious health issues
Participants must wear life jacket provided
Children aged 15 - 17 years old can attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian
Minimum age is 15 years old

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Maximum of 6 participants, in 3 double kayaks. Experienced kayakers have the option of choosing a single kayak.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. If the experience is cancelled due to strong winds (more than 20 knots), you will be rescheduled by the experience provider directly.

Dress Code

Wear a long sleeve top, shorts and shoes that can get wet. Synthetic clothes are best, as this will dry quicker than cotton. Recommended to bring a change of clothes for after the experience. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen.

A reasonable to high level of fitness is required for this activity!

Awesome morning on the water

Matt was a wonderful guide. He took us around the harbour and was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic throughout the whole session. The water and weather was beautiful allowing us to capture some awesome pics of the bridge and opera house. Goat Island was a pleasant surprise too with Matt teaching us heaps about the history of the island going back to colonial times. Highly recommend.

A must do experience!

We had a fabulous day with Matt, who kayaked with my 15yr old son, while my husband & I followed. An incredible experience, with a local guide, Matt gave a unique insight to this beautiful Harbour, & also a history of goat Island. Such a fantastic way to see the Harbour, & a j inquest view of the Bridge & the city. We are from the Hunter Valley, & often come to Sydney, but we can now say we have paddled on the Harbour! You will love this!!

What a great experience to kayak in Sydney Harbour. The water was beautiful and not cold. The city looked magnificent from the water and some interesting history facts about Goat Island and the area. Photo with the bridge was the cherry on top.
