Shoalwater Marine Park is a nature lovers playground playing host to one of the finest displays of wild marine life and birdlife to be found anywhere in the world. Grab a kayak and explore Seal Island, Gull Rock and Bird Island. You wont be disappointed!

A kayak trip is the ultimate way to experience the rich diversity and abundance of marine life in the park, and better yet the kayaks are great for beginners and very easy to steer and paddle. Once safety brief, gear and instructions have been discussed and distributed you will start the paddling adventure out to Seal Island. Keep your eye peeled for dolphins, sea lions, pelicans and more! You will also have the opportunity to explore Gull Rock and Bird Island, and after all that upper body exercise you can catch a breather and refuel with a delicious picnic lunch at Point Peron.

Stretch your legs and explore Point Peron on foot, viewing some amazing rock formations and breathtaking natural beauty before jumping back on your kayak to conclude the day tour.

  • Available weekdays between 10am - 3pm
  • This is a seasonal experience available between June 2nd to Sept 14th
  • Suitable for all levels of ability
  • Children must be 3+ and accompanied with an adult
  • A disclaimer must be completed prior to departure
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

There is a minimum of 4 participants per tour.

Shoalwater islands kayaking day trip

Nice day trip even though the sea lions were a bit lazy and did not want to come out to play. Nice weather, informative information about Penguin Island and the fairy penguins.
