What's Included?

    Ajoy begins with an introduction to the wonderful world of spices, herbs and other ingredients used in Indian cooking, followed by a discussion on the philosophy of Indian food. He then moves on to the theme/menu for the day, starting the demonstration with the basics following up with variations on the theme. The themes vary each month, ranging from regional cuisines like Goan or Hyderabadi to specialised menus like vegetarian lentils and breads or southern Indian snacks. And yes, you do get to eat the food!

    • The Art of Chicken Korma & Mughlai Cuisine - May 2016

    Mughlai Cuisine is the cuisine that comes from the kitchens of the ancient Indian aristocracy or the Moghul Emperors. It has strong influences of Muslim Cooking. Mughlai Cuisine has a distinctive aroma and taste of ground and whole spices. Mughlai cuisine is literally fit for any king or queen with its rich sauces!!

    • The Art of Hyderabadi Murg & Hyderabadi Cuisine

    Ajoy's favourite cuisine is an amalgam of the rich, creamy and aromatic dishes from the North and the sharp, piquant and pungent flavours of the South. The result, as you will discover in the class, is a unique cuisine with dishes and sauces unlike any other.

    • The Art of Palak Paneer & North Indian Vegetarian Cuisine

    Whoever said that vegetables can only be a side dish or an accompaniment was not familiar with the rich & proud heritage of North Indian vegetarian cuisine. Learn all about dhals and rotis or paneers and raitas to have a great vegetarian feast at home. A perfect choice for vegetarians, vegans & those who want to try non-meat meals for a change.

    On the Day

    Session Length

    • The class runs from 10.15am to 3.00pm, including lunch and refreshments
    • PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to reschedule your cooking class for a different date after the booking has been confirmed
    • Booking time will be confirmed by the experience provider

    Numbers on the Day

    • There will be 12-14 students in every class
    • Participants will cook in groups of 2 people

    Dress Code

    Casual clothes.

    Other Info

    Run every other Saturday.


    All participants also receive a 10% discount on all food items from the 'at home' service retail food outlet, on the day of the class.
