Your day will start with a race briefing to ensure you're familiar with both the cars and the experience ahead. When you're ready, you'll meet your race instructor and get strapped into a race prepared Subaru WRX rally car. Then before you know it, you're off, sitting behind the wheel for seven exhilarating laps. You'll get a real chance to become familiar with the track and car, receiving constant guidance from your expert instructor throughout the drive. Challenge yourself to go faster and faster with each lap. After your rally experience, it's time for the real thrill, you'll get to jump in the passenger seat and experience a professional hot lap! Make sure you hold on tight as they won't hold back!

Important information

Session Length

Allow up to two hours at the track for your experience
There are both morning and afternoon sessions available
Morning sessions: 8.30am - 10.30am OR 10.30am - 12.30pm
Afternoon sessions: 12.30pm - 2.30pm OR 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Booking time will be confirmed by the experience provider
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time to complete paperwork

Restrictions

A zero alcohol and drug policy will be strictly adhered to for all drivers.

Guidelines

All drivers must be 16 years or older and all passengers must be 10 years or older
A driving licence is not required
Maximum weight is 130kg and maximum height is 201cm
Participants are required to sign a waiver of liability form, parent or guardian to sign waiver for minors

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience unless extreme circumstances
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Maximum group size of 10 people.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome with great viewing of the race track. You are able to stay with the participant right up until their drive. There is a safe environment for kids with plenty of space for them to run around.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. A text message will be sent to the person who booked the experience. If the experience is cancelled, you will be rescheduled by the experience provider.

Dress Code

You will get a little dusty with this experience so keep that in mind!

Other Info

Photo packages are available for purchase on the day for $50. There are no canteen facilities available on site so feel free to bring your own food and drinks. There are no EFTPOS facilities on site so bring cash on the day for any additional purchases.

3.5 hours behind

While the experience itself was great and we really enjoyed it, the day we attended (24 January) they were running approximately 3.5 hours behind schedule. Unfortunately, we had a little baby with us and it was an extremely hot day, so the long wait made it quite challenging. It would be really helpful if there was a system in place to notify guests when sessions are running significantly behind.

3.5 hour wait to drive very slowly.

Scheduled for a 1030am start. Arrived at 1015am as directed on the email. We then waited until 130pm (!) to drive 6 laps of the very short course. The instructor was apologetic regarding the wait time. The actual driving was very disappointing. They try to get you to massively short shift each gear, shifting around 3k RPM, and the speeds were very slow. No sliding. It felt like a ride for kids. It is quite a hike from Sydney (1:40 each way) for something that was incredibly lacklustre. The hot lap at the end (more waiting) was excellent, albeit 45 seconds long. The instructor driving the car (Ruby, i think) was a total badass - not a redeeming factor, but a positive one at least.

We paid for 7 laps of self driving and 1 hot lap. They only let you drive 5 1/2 on the track (1/2 is pit lane) and they count that as 6 laps then The 7th is with a driver, only his was also part in pit lane. Others had paid for 2 hot laps and were only getting one until they spoke up. Seemed a bit of a rip off. We paid extra to film it but camera was on sideways and had a blurry mark in the middle so certainly not worth the $50 extra momento. This was a birthday grift for an 80 year old.

I surprised my patter with 7 laps in a Subaru WRX and it was absolutely amazing. Everyone there was so nice and made you feel so welcome. They even had me out there on the track with definitely wasn’t the plan. But it was so worth it!

Overall was a good fun experience. Staff were friendly with the exception on the one instructor me and a friend both had, who wasn't very informative or understanding and overall didn't have a great attitude towards us who had never done rally driving before. The track layout is a bit underwhelming too, effectively just and a narrow oval with a hair pin at either end, so you really don't get to experience too much. The hot lap experience was a blast, was great to see the proper techniques up close and personal.
