Take to the skies for a dream hot air balloon experience for two. Sprinkled with endless valleys of vineyards and farmlands, the Hunter Valley offers the perfect backdrop for your flight. After a transfer to the launch site, help out with the balloon inflation or stand back and watch your ride come to life. Gently rising above the ground in no time, becoming a colourful spectacle in the sky.

Soak up the tranquil scene as you slowly drift over picture perfect vineyards and valleys, bathed in the golden hues of sunrise. You may even spot kangaroos grazing and hopping on the grounds below. Concluding your magical flight with a visit to Peterson House, where you'll savour a delicious a la carte breakfast. Reminiscing about your magical morning as you commemorate the occasion with a glass of sparkling.

Session Length

Please allow four hours in total for this experience, from check in to breakfast
Flight is one hour in duration
Meeting time is approximately 45 minutes before sunrise
Flights operate Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Guidelines

Two ticket options available, Flexi ticket and Flight ticket
Flight tickets are non refundable
The minimum age for this experience is seven years old
Participants must be 18 years or older to be served alcohol, photo ID may be required
Passengers need to be able to climb into the basket, and stand for the hour's flight
Please advise of any medical condition that may preclude you from flying such as serious knee, hip or back problems, recent surgeries or broken bones
Maximum weight of 140kg per passenger
Passengers can not fly if pregnant
The supplier may not respond to booking requests received within 48 hours
This is not a private tour

Cancellation

Flexi Ticket

The Flexi Ticket option can be rescheduled to another date in the event of a weather cancellation
An admin fee may apply to any cancellations before your flight date, but this ticket cannot be cancelled/rescheduled within 72 hours of your flight time

Flight Ticket, Non Refundable

The Flight Ticket option is non refundable
The Flight Ticket option can be rescheduled to another date in the event of a weather cancellation but is NON REFUNDABLE in the event of a weather cancellation or under any other circumstances
With this ticket type you cannot cancel or reschedule your flight within 72 hours of your flight time

Numbers on the Day

This voucher is valid for two participants with a minimum of six people per flight.

Weather

In the case of windy, wet or foggy weather the flight may be cancelled at the pilot's discretion. The pilot usually confirms if the flight can proceed during the passenger phone check in the night prior to the flight. The exact meeting time for the flight is provided at this time. If the flight is cancelled due to bad weather, you will be rescheduled by the experience provider.

Dress Code

Please wear casual comfortable clothing such as jeans and sneakers are recommended.

I did this experience with my daughter on a perfect Autumn day. The balloons were huge and moved so gently through the air. Our pilot explained how he manoeuvred the balloon using the breeze and heat and pointed out places of interest. The breakfast at Peterson was delicious.

An unforgettable experience with Balloon Aloft in the Hunter Valley. It’s hard to put into words just how magical it felt drifting over the vineyards in the early morning light as the sun rose. We finished with a delicious breakfast at Peterson’s House, making the whole adventure even more perfect. Thank you hardly seems enough for such an extraordinary experience.
