We had our complimentary champagne out on the decking in the beautiful sunshine, this is when their gorgeous dog joined us. Our 3 course meal in the homestead was absolutely delicious And meal sizes were huge. Room was very spacious as was the bed. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The experience was generally lovely - the food was tasty, the service was friendly and the rooms were comfortable. However, the voucher was meant to include a glass of sparkling wine for each of the guests - when we enquired about this at dinner, we were told that no drinks were included in the voucher. Immediately on rolling into the driveway you felt a sense of relax, calm, and comfort. A fabulous retreat with an amazing history, a beautiful location beckons for a peaceful walk around the lake. The staff were warm and inviting and the food was simply a 5-star experience. We decided there and then we intend to make Flowerdale our "go-to" getaway.
