Memorable Birthday weekend in Leura

Had a wonderful birthday weekend at the fabulous Fairmont Leura Resort, staff were amazing and the rooms are large and clean Nice touch on arrival with a nice bottle of sparkling Played nine holes of golf at the adjacent Leura Golf Club with the kids which was great Had a lovely dinner with family at Embers overlooking the Jamieson valley with the wood fire bubbling away again starting with a glass of bubbles as the sun faded which was a lovely touch staff again attentive and considerate A really memorable big birthday celebration

Having been to Fairmont locations throughout Canada I thought this would be a great weekend retreat for my husband and I. This Fairmont is vastly different to others. Our view from the Embers Grill whilst eating a hefty priced steak was of the rainbow slide. Yes you can see the scenic mountains in the background but the colours definitely do not blend in to the surroundings. Overall the property is dated including spa. There are various tapes used to hold things up or together. I definitely expected more

Leura 2 night stay

My wife and I had a very comfortable stay in a standard room that was very nice and spacious. The Two Doctors Whiskey bar staff were very knowledgable about their stunning selections of quality spirits within the comfortable and interesting setting. All the grounds of the hotel and close access to beautiful walks into the Blue Mountains gave us an wonderful experience. We would recommend it anyone!

Had a lovely time, can’t fault anything, staff, restaurants (the Leura golf club bistro was very basic and ordinary, but service was excellent!) there were so many activities on between Christmas and NYE, we enjoyed the free movies in the auditorium most! Rooms are a bit outdated but that’s parts of its charm. Would stay again!

The walks around the ground was magical!

The Resort was beautiful, the staff were all friendly and happy to help us get around. The rooms were clean. Tough it rained the whole time we were there, it was still beautiful to go for walks in the rain. We even found the perfect Christmas tree amongst the ground which was magnificent.

Most expensive child care centre in the Southern Hemisphere. If you want some adult time, stay well away. The place is very tired. The tennis courts are basically unusable. No money has been spent on teh place for over a decade. Friendly staff!

An amazing magical weekend away

The drive to the resort started this amazing weekend away with beautiful scenery. The resort is set in stunning surrounds. The staff are helpful and very friendly. The bed was so comfy, if I stayed in it all weekend I would have been just as happy. The weather was raining but still stunning. The spa and indoor heated pool makes you feel so relaxed and Ubika day spa is a must, you feel like you have stepped into another level of relaxation. I am definitely coming back again and bringing the kids.
