Rise before first light for an unforgettable morning amongst the Gold Coast's clouds! After check in and a transfer to the launch site, watch as your colourful ride comes to life during the balloon inflation before walking in to Australia's only "easy access" basket with doors! Experience a true sense of wonderment as you gently float through the sky like a cloud, taking in unparalleled views of the world below you painted in the hues of sunrise. Depending on the weather and winds of the day, your pilot will either take you over the sparkling city skyline or luscious hinterland. With a 100% safety rating, you wouldn't want it any other way! Upon landing, you'll make your way to the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort for a sumptuous five star breakfast.

You'll either fly over the Gold Coast city skyline where every moment is packed with unparalleled beauty and wonder or the Gold Coast Hinterland where you'll witness panoramic views of rolling hills out to Tamborine Mountain and Lamington National Park at sunrise.

Session Length

Please allow four hours in total for this experience including a 40 minute to one hour flight
Available seven days a week

Restrictions

Those who are pregnant are unable to fly.

Guidelines

Minimum age to fly is three years old
Participants under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult
Passengers who have significant knee, hip or back problems must consult with the pilot prior to their flight
The experience provider may operate over the Gold Coast skyline, or the Gold Coast Hinterland, depending on the weather and winds
Passengers will receive their flight details the evening before their flight, once the weather has been confirmed
Flight duration depends on the weather on the day

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Maximum of 20 participants.

Weather

In the case of unsuitable weather the flight may be cancelled at the pilot's discretion. Please let the experience provider know if you require weather information prior to the balloon ride.

Dress Code

Winter mornings can be cold and warm clothes are recommended.

Location

This experience includes return transfers from Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Nerang Fair or Canungra. Please advise your preferred pickup location at the time of booking.

This was a wonderful experience even for someone nervous of heights. We were up without realising we had risen so far. The balloon glided through the air. Stunning view of the Gold Coast, ocean and sunrise. Murray was a blast engaging in friendly banter. His team were great. Would do again.

We waited at 3am and nobody turned up.

We are very disappointed as we waited to be picked up from 2.45am and nobody turned up for our hot air balloon ride.We weren't informed that the landing zones were closed. We aren't happy at all.

Hotair Ballooning a very peaceful experience

We loved the whole experience from pick up and drive (Drew the driver being funny at 3.00am in the morning) to site, all requirements and safety explained and then before you knew it, we were floating in the air and very peaceful and smooth ride and landing.
