Head west of Brisbane for a day exploring some of Queensland's most beautiful countryside. Start with a delicious morning tea and then drive into the border ranges to discover plunge waterfalls. Enjoy lunch with a mountain view before heading to a vineyard for wine tasting.
Begin your day with a stop for Devonshire Tea in a heritage-listed building in the country town of Boonah, then sit back and enjoy the scenery as your're driven over The Falls Scenic Drive to discover plunge waterfalls, with two walking tracks to choose from. Next is a stop for lunch, either at Mountain Creek Café - or with a ploughman's lunch picnic on days when the cafe is closed.
Next, you will be driver over Head Road to enjoy more picturesque mountain scenery, before arriving at Kooroomba Vineyard for wine tasting, and the Lavender Farm to stop for a walk. You might even spot some kangaroos! On the drive back to Brisbane, make one last stop at Mt Coot-tha Lookout – Brisbane’s highest point – with stunning views over Brisbane to Moreton Bay.
