Visit all of Rottnest Island's must see locations on this full day tour. The tour of the island begins with a ride on Rottnest's historical train to Oliver Hill, where you'll be guided through World War II tunnels, passing wartime relics, before setting off on an air conditioned bus for the rest of your tour. Learn about the cultural and historical heritage of the island, and see Wadjemup Lighthouse, Henrietta Rocks and the scenic views from Mabel Cove.

Session Length

The day begins at 9am and returns at approximately 5:30pm

Restrictions

Not suitable for those with mobility issues. Oliver Hill tunnels component takes 45 minutes and is physically demanding with approximately 700 metres walking and 240+ uneven steps (equivalent to an 8-storey climb). There are no rest stops and no backtracking once inside. No carrying of children is permitted, except for small infants in baby carriers (which allow the accompanying adult to have both hands free to negotiate the railings in the tunnels). Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult and are not allowed to run ahead.

I done the Rottnest Island Full Day Tour with Ferry Transfers and Lunch and it was a great day, got to see the whole island in the comfort of the bus and had a great lunch. It was also fantastic to do the guided tour of the guns & travel on the historical train. Only downside of this tour was that we could not get a picture with a quokka until the end of the tour & there were not many around but we did see quite a few on the bus trip. It would have been good if we could have stopped for photos with the quokka.

Rottnest Grand Tour- Not- Please read my review!

We received this as a surprise Christmas gift, which was lovely. The difficulty began when trying to book this trip given our tight schedule. We eventually settled on a date the fitted with our plans and booked the crossing time etc! Later that week and just before we were getting organised to go, we received a telephone call changing the crossing time to an earlier start and also the grand tour! This all sounds like it could be disastrous but on the contrary, it allowed us to get breakfast at Samphire where we met our first Quokka whilst eating breakfast (very nice too) and gave us the freedom to see more of this idyllic place. We had the most wonderful day, meeting Ian the train driver, the volunteer guides up at the WW2 gun site and finally enjoying the Bays tour of the island safely driven by Bill who is and was an absolute font of local knowledge. Thank you all for an absolutely wonderful memory which will stay with us forever.

Very impressed with the service on both the ferry and guided tours.. The bus driver Rene and Gun Hill guide Greg were excellent, knowledgeable and very pleasant. Top job guys. I had an semi invalid husband and six year old granddaughter in our group and trip suited all of us. Excellent day out.

The Rottnest island tour including historical train and one hour bus tour was amazing. Highly recommended .. really worth the money. Also got to have a selfie with a quokka.

My partner and I took my grandfather to Rottnest as a Christmas gift, and we arranged this tour to learn about the history of the island and surrounds. My grandfather has been frequenting Rottnest for the last 70 years, and he was blown away by the info provided throughout the trip! The staff we dealt with were friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating - particularly Percy on our bus tour. I would highly recommend this package, and would happily attend a second time!

His depth of knowledge of the Island and its history helped to make our venture so much fuller and enjoyable. The Ferry journey was comfortable.
