A fascinating day of spectacular natural contrasts. Big sky plains, koalas and kangaroos, massive sand dunes and emerald waters lapping pristine white sandy beaches. Then the piece de resistance - the dramatic Pinnacles Desert. Wow!
Sitting three hours north of Perth, off the scenic Indian Ocean Drive, the Pinnacles are thousands of rock spires scattered across the yellow sand dunes of Nambung National Park. They are made up of shells created by the forces of nature and date back to a time when the sand here was beneath the sea. You will be amazed by the magnificent scene of stones standing in the middle of the golden sand desert.
You will also visit Caversham Wildlife Park for your opportunity to see koalas, wombats and kangaroos close up as well as spotting wild emus and wildflowers on the endless plains along the way. You will be taken on a guided tour of a lobster farm, enjoy a picnic lunch at the coastal town of Cervantes, visit the cray fishing port of Lancelin on the Indian Ocean with time for a short stroll on the beach. But that's not all - try your hand at sandboarding and enjoy an exhilarating 4 wheel drive adventure across the massive sand dunes in Lancelin.
