Discover the beauty of the Tasman Peninsula when your Osborne Heli Tour guide collects you from your accommodation and drives you to Pirates Bay Lookout and Waterfall Bay. Don’t forget your camera! The site is breathtaking and you’ll want to take it all in, far and wide. You’ll then set off on a short nature walk in the Tasman National Park to discover some of the remarkable coastal rock formations. Then take a 15 minute scenic flight, that soars high above the spectacular Three Capes Track, Cape Hauy and the Port Arthur Historic Site. The day won’t be complete without a little sugar rush when you visit Federation Chocolate, perfect for munching on through the afternoon back to Hobart or to take home as gifts.

Session Length

This experience is approximately 11 hours in duration.

  • Individual passenger weights must be provided when booking, maximum 110 kilograms per guest
  • Children under eight years are not recommended due to the size of the day tour and walking requirements
  • On your flight you will be permitted to take only your camera (or phone). All other items and bags can be left in the office for collection at the end of your flight
  • Flights are subject to weather conditions and flight path may be altered to allow for conditions and give the best possible experience
  • There is a strict maximum weight of 130kg per person


Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy:

  • Date changes permitted up to 24 hours prior to departure and are subject to availability

Numbers on the Day

There is a minimum number of two and a maximum of five participants for this experience.


Guests are advised to confirm tours 24 hours before departure. In the event of inclement weather affecting services, the experience provider will endeavour to contact guests prior to their scheduled tour time. The bus tour will run in all weather however in the event of the helicopter component of the tour cancelled, you will have the option of amending your tour provided by tour operator - with the helicopter component of your fare refunded in these circumstances.

Dress Code

The weather on the Tasman Peninsula is famously varied, with four distinct seasons (sometimes all occurring in one day!). Daily maximum temperatures in summer (December to February) are between 20-30 degrees celsius. In winter (June to August) daily maximums are between 8-16 degrees celsius. Please wear suitable walking shoes for a nature walk and time exploring the Port Arthur Historic Site.
