After a safety briefing, you will board the helicopter and head west towards the Mitchell River silt jetties. These are naturally formed silt banks that stretch for over eight kilometres, making them the longest in the southern hemisphere and the second largest in the world. Your pilot will continue along these unusually thin landforms until you reach the popular holiday destinations of Paynesville and Metung, then finishing the loop past the three islands to the airfield.
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:
A minimum of two participants is required for the flight to proceed.
Flight departures and arrivals may be viewed from the ground at the airfield. All spectators are to remain behind signed safety fences.
If at the time of departure, the Pilot In Command deems the flight cannot proceed due to bad weather conditions and thus raising safety concerns, the flight will be cancelled and they will work with you to reschedule to a suitable time.
