Take to the skies and be captivated by the unrivalled beauty of Lakes Entrance during this 20 minute helicopter flight. After a safety briefing, you will board the helicopter and head west towards the Mitchell River silt jetties. These are naturally formed silt banks that stretch for over eight kilometres, making them the longest in the southern hemisphere and the second largest in the world. Your pilot will continue along these unusually thin landforms until you reach the popular holiday destinations of Paynesville and Metung, then finishing the loop past the three islands to the airfield.

Session Length

  • The flight time is approximately 20 minutes
  • Please allow 35 minutes for the duration of the experience including a safety briefing

Guidelines

  • The maximum weight limit is 130kg per passenger
  • Children under the age of three are classified as infants and may be carried on the lap of an adult free of charge (limited to one infant per flight)
  • A camera, video equipment or smart phones can be used

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:

  • A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for any changes made to the booking

Numbers on the Day

A minimum of two participants is required for the flight to proceed.

Spectators

Flight departures and arrivals may be viewed from the ground at the airfield. All spectators are to remain behind signed safety fences.

Weather

If at the time of departure, the Pilot In Command deems the flight cannot proceed due to bad weather conditions and thus raising safety concerns, the flight will be cancelled and they will work with you to reschedule to a suitable time.
