Your helicopter flight experience begins with a greeting by your pilot and ground crew, followed by a briefing to ensure that your flight is enjoyable and safe. Then you are off on an adventure to explore what the Barossa Valley has to offer from the best view of all! Every passenger has a 'window' seat and 180 degree views from inside the cabin. These helicopters are equipped with voice activated headsets so you can talk to each other and ask the pilot questions as you fly over the valley floor. Once your flight is completed, ground crew will escort you from the aircraft back to the reception area. Once back on solid ground, you can sit and enjoy a coffee or tea and talk about your experience, before heading off to enjoy the rest of your day.

Important information

  • This flight is 20 minutes in duration, with an additional 10 minute safety briefing
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your flight time for briefing
  • Operates seven days a week, all year round except Good Friday and Christmas Day
  • Available between 10am and 3:30pm

Camera or phone Sunglasses WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS: Maximum Individual weight of 130 kg Maximum combined weight of all passengers 270 kg All passengers will be weighed on the day of travel. Anyone over 130 kg will be unable to fly.

  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

The helicopter can accommodate up to three people.

Flights do not operate in heavy rain or low cloud. Your safety and that of our pilot’s and aircraft are the Number 1 Priority!

Please wear sensible clothing, no hats, scarfs or loose clothing.

Had the most surreal flight with Barossa Helicopters, the staff were super friendly and relaxed and the whole experience was just incredible. Booked through Red balloon which was super easy (they have Afterpay as an option). And it was everything I was hoping for! I want my own helicopter :P

We had the most wonderful time. Originally going as a couple, this lovely family were happy to let us change last minute to a trio for a small charge. The pilot was knowledgeable about the area, and put everyone's nerve at ease. I would go up again with Barossa Helicopters any day.
