Make your time spent in the Barossa absolutely perfect with this full day tour. Enjoy the scenic drive from the glorious Adelaide Hills to the Barossa before being escorted to the helipad. Take in all the wonders of the region from the clouds as you enjoy a ten minute helicopter flight. Your pilot will afford you with panoramic views of vine-laced hills, verdant valleys, Jacob's Creek and the Whispering Wall. Come back down to Earth and make your way to a private wine tasting at two of the Barossa's famous cellar doors, home to some of the rarest and oldest Shiraz vines in the world.

After all this activity, you're sure to have worked up an appetite. Sit down for a divine lunch, showcasing humble and flavoursome local and seasonal produce. In the afternoon, you will head to Maggie Beers Farm Shop. Wander the gorgeous property that overlooks a stunning blue lake, sample and purchase some products and see the studio where Maggie and Simon filmed The Cook and the Chef. A visit to the iconic Whispering Wall by foot is also on the agenda. Be in awe as you experience the remarkable acoustics at play, with your whispers at one end of the wall being heard clearly 150 metres away at the other end.

Departure time from Hahndorf is 9am and return time to Hahndorf is approximately 4.30pm

Restrictions

All Aircraft have weight restrictions. If you or someone flying with you is over 100 kg, you must inform us at the time of booking. Robinson R44 helicopter manufacturers have an individual seat limit of 130 kg. Each flight has a maximum total weight including fuel, passengers etc. Each helicopter seats 3 passengers and the pilot. You may be required to be seated with another couple. This tour does not depart everyday. Please ensure you receive confirmation from your supplier before booking accommodation and other travel plans. You will be provided with alternate date suggestions if your preferred date is unavailable. The tour requires a total minimum of 6 passengers to depart.

Guidelines

Participants must be 18 years and older to consume alcohol; photo ID may be required
Child car seats for tours or transfers are not provided. If you do not notify the provider that a child will be travelling with you, you may be refused service on pick if you don't provide a compliant child restraint yourself
Wine tasting venues are pre-arranged by the supplier and booked depending on availability. These may include Chateau Yaldara, Langmeil, Kies Family Wines, Provenance Barossa, Rockford and others.

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

This experience departs from 25 Mount Barker Road Hahndorf (in front of The Manna Accommodation) at 9am. Upon request, pickup is available from from Arnold Park, next to the ferries in Mannum, South Australia, 5238 at 8am or Whispering Wall Road, Williamstown, South Australia, 10:15am.

A Lovely Day Out

The organisers were absolutely lovely to deal with. Geoff our driver was bubbly and made it an enjoyable day. It was cloudy in the morning so we had to postpone our helicopter ride to the afternoon. Overall a great experience.

Had an amazing day out. We'd never been on a helicopter before, so the scenic tour was certainly a highlight! The pilot was so relaxed and it made the experience really enjoyable. The transport was comfortable, the locations we went were beautiful with delicious wine, and our tour driver was fantastic - thank you Andrew! He made the day seem effortless and was very friendly - we felt like VIP :)

We had a remarkable day, the helicopter flight was a great start to the day and the staff were friendly, professional and created a great experience! Our Host Andrew was a hoot… extremely knowledgeable about the Barossa region and the wine and helped make the day such a fun experience. The wineries were beautiful & shared their history and produce with so much enthusiasm! 10 out of 10 day… Highly recommend!!

Such a great day out

We had an amazing day. Our driver Andrew was fantastic, the transport super comfortable the itinerary of wineries and helicopter flight was all great. Only disappointment of the day was the lunch. It was not what one would expect at a winery, (and we've been to plenty) It was more like a simple counter meal at a small town country pub. Regardless it was still a top day out.
