Take off for a breathtaking, private helicopter flight over the Barossa Valley wine region. You'll see the famous Jacobs Creek, fly over Tanunda and Seppeltsfield seeing many fine wineries, past Lyndoch and onto the Whispering Wall before continuing at a lower than normal flight level to base!

Departing Hoffnungsthal Valley, you will cruise past the township of Lyndoch heading along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley to Seppeltsfield. Here you will see vines contouring the rolling hills and palm tree-lined roads. Then off to Nuriootpa, where your pilot will point out Maggie Beer's farm and the famous Penfolds Winery. Next you'll head for Stockwell to marvel at the scale of the Wolf Blass Winery and the lime quarry near Angaston, home of Yalumba Wines and Cornerstone race horse stud. Overhead Tanunda, you can see the stunning old buildings of Chateau Tanunda and many old churches before soaring towards Rowland Flat to take in the views of the towering Jacob Creek Winery's tank farm. Some of these tanks hold up to 1.4 million litres of wine! From there you'll journey to the southern end of the Barossa, past Lyndoch near Cockatoo Valley and over the Whispering Wall.

This flight is 30 minutes in duration, with an additional 10 minute safety briefing
Flights commence seven days a week, excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day

Camera or phone Sunglasses WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS: Maximum Individual weight of 130 kg Maximum combined weight of all passengers 270 kg All passengers will be weighed on the day of travel. Anyone over 130 kg will be unable to fly.

Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

The helicopter can accommodate up to three people. However this is a private tour.

Spectators

As you step out of the reception into the pergola area, there are tables and chairs for family and friend to relax while their loved ones take a flight.

Weather

Flights do not operate in heavy rain or low cloud. Your safety and that of our pilot’s and aircraft are the Number 1 Priority!

Dress Code

Please wear sensible clothing, no hats, no scarfs or loose clothing.

Unforgettable Flight Over the Barossa

[Employee of redballoon] Our pilot Bridgette made the experience truly memorable. She was professional, welcoming and shared interesting insights as we flew over the vineyards, rolling hills and landmarks of the Barossa Valley. The ride itself felt smooth and safe, with every seat offering great views. Ten minutes was just the right amount of time to enjoy the scenery from above without feeling rushed. A wonderful way to see the Barossa from a new perspective.

Thoroughly enjoyable flight over the Barossa area. Our pilot answered lots of questions on all sorts of topics, & we got to see the impact 6mths of drought in the region. Next time I want Barossa Helicopters to take me directly to the Gather Round game!! 😃
