Experience two wonders of south west WA during this combo tour! Journey through time and uncover the captivating history of Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse on a guided half hour tour. A knowledge guide will take you up the easy 59 stairs to the top of the lighthouse, sharing the maritime history of the Cape region along the way. Hear tales of shipwrecks off the coastline, stories of life as a lighthouse keeper, the navigation systems used and the importance of local ocean currents. You'll also learn more about the unique flora and fauna of the area. Stepping onto the balcony, be rewarded with stunning views of the Indian Ocean, Cape Naturaliste, Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and Geographe Bay.

Then, head over to the crystallised underground wonderland of Ngilgi Cave. Hear stories of early exploration, caving by candlelight and romantic escapades from your expert guide as you make your way to Show Cave, where you're free to explore the allure of the cave at your own pace. You will get lost in a labyrinth of extensive boardwalks, stairs and chambers that take you past an incredible mix of crystal formations like stalactites, helictites, shawls, columns and more. Along the way, lighting illuminates hidden marvels and signage allows you to learn more about these mesmerising phenomenons. You'll also have the rare opporuntity to handle some cave crystals at the touch table, where an expert guide is there to answer your questions.

Session Length

  • Please allow 2-3 hours for the combined duration of each tour
  • The Lighthouse departs every half hour between 9.30am and 4:30pm daily
  • Please note: Your booking request will be for the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse tour. The day and time of your Ngilgi Cave tour can be booked directly with the provider
  • Not available Christmas Day


  • All children must be accompanied by an adult
  • A moderate level of fitness is required as you must be able to walk up and down stairs and undertake some basic climbing over rocks. You are required to crawl on this tour

Dress Code

Long pants, comfortable closed-toe shoes and a long sleeve top are essential for the Ngilgi Cave tour.

The cave environment can be quite humid. Asthmatics are advised to take extra care and be sure to bring along any medication.

This experience takes place just northeast of Yallingup and 15 minutes north of Dunsborough, WA.
