Built in 1875 the working light tower commands its position above the beautifully restored cottages. Experience and marvel at the lighthouse beams as they probe into the expanse of the night time sky. This unique opportunity is available only to guests as the site is not open to the public at night. The site is completely accessible by vehicle and guest parking is provided onsite. Beaches are a short and easy walk below and provide swimming, surfing, fishing and snorkeling opportunities.
During the winter months the annual humpback migration brings prolific numbers of playful whales close to Sugarloaf Point. Year round you can enjoy the spectacle of local dolphins surfing the Lighthouse Beach break. The surrounding national and marine parks bring lots of opportunity for bush walking and beach combing to discover native flora and wildlife in their natural habitat.
