Mystery flights are the best way to travel, hassle-free! You don’t have to choose where to go and you have the thrill of not knowing until you get there. You choose your travel date (weekday or weekend), and your flight times are chosen with one of the major airlines (Virgin Australia, Jetstar or Qantas). You will receive your itinerary 2-3 days prior to departure. Your transfers are pre-arranged at your destination and you have been booked into a quality hotel! All you have to do is have fun when you get there!

With your 2 night package stay, you will fly to one of 18 possible destinations which includes accommodation and transfers. Each destination offers its own attractions and activities. While you will be provided with some tourist information regarding your destination in your itinerary, you are under no obligation to do or visit anything particular. What you choose to do is entirely up to you.

You are able to nominate one destination you do not wish to be flown to, and for repeat travellers every effort will be made not to send you to the same place twice. Take a chance, and be spontaneous!

Important information

Session Length

Your flight is a 'mystery' and will depart at any time from 5am on your chosen date. Your return flight will be between 12pm and 10pm.

Mystery Flight Bookings are not available on LONG WEEKENDS, PUBLIC HOLIDAYS or SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Guidelines

This experience departs from the airport in Sydney
Canberra and Newcastle are automatic exclusions for departures from Sydney
Mystery Flights requires a booking request to be made in order to check availability
Mystery Flights requires 21 days notice for first preference departure date
The second preference date should be at least one week later from the first preference departure date
Mystery Flights will make contact within 48 hours to discuss the booking request
All bookings are subject to availability for the dates you have requested
While we endeavour to meet your requests it is not always possible
School holidays, public holidays and long weekends are not available for Mystery Flights Packages
Mystery Flights bookings are not guaranteed until a confirmation is sent by RedBalloon as well as a booking confirmation by Mystery Flights
Please choose your travel dates carefully. This experience is non-refundable and changes to your booking dates/times are not possible once your booking dates have been confirmed
7kg of carry on baggage is included. Please note, check-in baggage is not permitted on this package
This voucher is for 2 people, however if you wish to travel with an infant that does not require a seat, we are happy to discuss any additional costs and requirements prior to booking

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

The mystery flight to Brisbane was awesome

We went to Brisbane for our mystery flight for the 2 nights. The flights leaving Sydney was early enough to get a good day in Brisbane and we left late enough to still do plenty on the Sunday, therefore well planned. The hotel was great and it was right in the centre of Brisbane which meant we could get everywhere just by walking. It was well planned

We were expecting a bit more surprise. What Mystert flights offer is only booking the flight and accomodation. We received the itinerary a few days before leaving and that’s when the surprise ended. The flights were not very convenient (very early morning) and the hotel was ok (not very clean and had to pay for unlimited wifi). Overall we had a good weekend but don’t think that we will book again with Mystery flights.
