Experience one of the world's true wonders on this day cruise to Lady Musgrave Island in the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Departing from the town of 1770, you will travel on a high-speed catamaran for 90 minutes, then spend approximately five hours at the only coral cay island in the Great Barrier Reef that is surrounded by a protected and wildlife-rich reef lagoon. All of your snorkelling equipment and flotation are included, so you can dive in and explore the pristine waters of Lady Musgrave Island; the waters here are a haven for marine life, and sightings of manta rays, tropical fish, and turtles are almost guaranteed. You can even take the opportunity to try and experience all 'Great 8' marine encounters, which include whales, manta rays, turtles, clown fish, sharks, giant clams, potato cod and Maori wrasse.
In the catamaran your friendly crew will share the raw beauty of the reef through glass-bottom boat viewing, giving you a unique perspective on the vibrant coral gardens and marine life, whilst on land an experienced eco-tour guides will interpret the fascinating ecosystems underneath the island forest canopy, revealing the hidden secrets of this natural wonder.
