This experience takes place seven days a week, except for over Easter and Festive season when there's a surcharge. Bookings are subject to availability. It is recommended to book in advance if you have a specific date in mind.

Please note that while this property welcomes families and children of all ages. MID SEASON is valid for dates: 1/10/24 - 31/03/25, 01/02/25 - 31/05/25, 1/11/25 - 31/03/26. HIGH SEASON is valid for dates: 01/06/25 - 31/10/25

Cancellation

• Any cancellations made 31+ days prior to check in; no cancellation fees apply. • Any cancellations made within 30 days of check in date; 100% cancellation fee applies. Special circumstances will be assessed on a case by case basis. Special cases will not receive a refund but will have 12 months to rebook. • All cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellation fees will be applied from date of written notification being received. • Should any cancellations be a package, further cancellation charges or administration fees may be applicable for components within the package that Daintree Ecolodge are liable for. • All Visa / MasterCard / AMEX transaction fees are non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

Weather

Average temperatures range from 20 - 30 degrees Celsius with 60% of the rainfall between October to May and 40% from June to September. The rainforest and region are spectacular no matter what time of the year you choose to travel.

Dress Code

The mood of the tropics lends itself to casual attire. Loose, light clothing, coupled with sandshoes, runners or sandals is perfect for daytime resort wear. Smart casual attire is suitable for evenings in the Julaymba Restaurant.

Other Info

Rate provided are only for the Lagoon Treehouse room type. An additional cost of $30 per night is applicable to upgrade to the Canopy Room type across both seasons.

Location

The Daintree Ecolodge is located 90 minutes north of Cairns, on one of Australia’s most spectacular drives. Departing Cairns on the Captain Cook Highway, follow the signs along the sealed coastal drive towards Port Douglas, Mossman and Daintree Village. The lodge is nestled on the southern banks of the impressive Daintree River so a ferry crossing is not required.

Simple luxury in the wilderness

This was one of the most wonderful 'short breaks' we have ever had. A small indulgence in such a tumultuous time. The room is suspended in the rainforest canopy - with floor to ceiling windows taking in the sounds and smells of the forrest is shear escapism. The food, service and attention to detail by the team is wonderful. Thank you so much to RedBalloon for making this one of the most wonderful escapes ever.
