Discover and explore them with this historical tour. You’ll board a comfy bus and your friendly, local guide will teach you about the rich history of the town and its surprisingly big impact on some quintessential Aussie cultural icons.

The landscape itself will impress with tonnes of photo ops at every turn. The typical Aussie outback setting; there’s stretches of bushland, red dirt, ancient rock formations, cattle stations and quirky public space art. One of the town’s claims to fame is being the first place Waltzing Matilda was performed, it was written at Dagworth Station – a cattle station just outside of Winton. The town also had an eventful ancient history; many dinosaur fossils have been uncovered here and there is even remnants of a dinosaur stampede in the form of footprints, or should we say, clawprints.
