Experience one of Australia's most popular World Heritage areas with this scenic day tour. You'll walk through the Daintree Rainforest spotting wildlife, take a river cruise where you'll see crocodiles, swim in an idyllic creek and enjoy Cape Tribulation beach. Lunch is included.
After being picked up from your accommodation, this full-day tour travels north along the picturesque Great Barrier Reef Drive en route to the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park. During your 1-hour Daintree River Cruise, you’ll gain insights into the region's unique flora and fauna, including birds, butterflies and chance sightings of the infamous estuarine crocodile. Back on land, enjoy an interpretive drive through the oldest continually existing rainforest on earth, while on the lookout for the elusive Southern Cassowary and prehistoric Boyd’s Rainforest Dragon.
You’ll then stop for a stunning photo opportunity at the Alexandra Range Lookout before lunch in a rainforest setting, followed by a complimentary Tropical Fruit Ice-Cream and guided beach walk - where the Rainforest meets the reef. Crossing back over the Daintree River by cable ferry, you’ll spend the afternoon exploring stunning Mossman Gorge via a selection of trails and elevated boardwalks (easy grade). Visit the Mossman River lookout, cross the suspension bridge and take the opportunity for an invigorating rainforest swim (subject to river conditions) before returning to your accommodation late afternoon.
