This Tidbinbilla wildlife tour is a half day adventure. Your local guide will introduce you to this beautiful mountain region, its history and cultural significance. You'll hop on electric bikes to ride on designated paths and explore the sights, visit the epic NASA Space Complex and so much more.
Your friendly tour guide is ready to show you Canberra’s more exciting, not-so-obvious spots.
You’ll meet koalas, wallabies and other native animals in their natural forest and wetland habitats at the spectacular Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve - the perfect spot to watch for potoroos (mini kangaroos), the native platypus and water birds in nearby ponds.
Kids 12 years old and above can hop on an electric bike to ride down designated paths for an epic way of checking out the sights.
This gentle and easy ride goes for 5km back through the forests and past open grasslands.
However, taking an e-bike is not a prerequisite! Your guide can drive you to the kangaroo grazing grounds to the lookout instead, where you can get up close to the roos and soak up the serenity of the mountains.
Inclement weather on the day of your booking?
The guided wildlife walks still go on in wet weather with your guide providing raincoats and umbrellas as required.
But come prepared with spare clothes as you’ll then be taken to the NASA Deep Space Communication Complex to explore the displays about the planets, the Apollo moon missions and the Mars rover.
