Get lost in a world of pristine nature and beauty as you stand up paddle board in the Basin estuary. Guided by an experienced host, you will learn the basics of the sport, from stance to the correct paddling technique. After the lesson, enjoy a half hour of hire to work on your skills and explore.
Learn how to stand up paddle board in the calm and flat waters of the Basin estuary. Led by a friendly and experienced guide, you will learn all the tips and tricks behind the sport, from basic manoeuvring to the correct paddling technique. As you glide smoothly across the clear water, keep watch for local fish species swimming along and a variety of birds flying overhead. Wildlife you may spot include lyre birds, wallabies, sea eagles, kookaburras and goannas. You'll learn more about the wildlife and natural environment of Sydney's coastal areas and acknowledge the Aboriginal culture of the area and significant sights as you paddle. Not only is this a fun experience, it's also a great fitness and core workout! After the tour, enjoy an additional 30 minutes of stand up paddle board hire to work on your new skills and explore this oasis.
You will need to pay a National Parks and Wildlife Services fee to enter into our location. NPWS fees is not covered in the tour fee. $3pp by ferry and $12 per car if driving to west Head.

Spectators can watch you from the Basin picnic area.
In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless deemed unsafe. You will be contacted two hours before travel time.
Please bring or wear a hat, swimming gear, towel, walking shoes, sunglasses and sun-smart clothing. Also bring plenty of water and food, as there are no shops at the departure point, only vending machines.
Customers must complete Online Check in before arrival and inform guide of any medical conditions. You cannot participate if you are pregnant or have medical issues which requires medical clearance letter from your doctor.
