Imagine yourself riding a wave on beautiful Bondi Beach? Enjoy this beginner surf lesson, taught by hand-picked local and international surf coaches. With a low student to instructor ratio of 5:1, you will have a fantastic surfing experience that is safe, exciting and heaps of fun! Start your lesson with important surf and safety rules, then warm-up, then begin learning how to paddle, catch some waves, and try standing up!

This experience is part of the Responsible range because they are ECO certified by Ecotourism Australia.

Important information

Session Length

This experience is 2 hours long. Lessons are run everyday (closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day)
Please arrive at our check in centre 20mins prior to your lesson start time

Guidelines

Minimum age is 12 years old.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Maximum of 5 participants per instructor.

Weather

We provide warm winter wetsuits if cold. Lessons are tide dependent but your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. If your experience is cancelled you will be rescheduled by the provider.

Dress Code

Please bring swimwear and a towel.

Tried surfing a few times since moving here 18 years ago but it never took hold. Today with these legends, I was able to stand up on about five waves! What an awesome way to start the day. Will definitely do this again!

Showing up to famous Bondi Beach, our group were all given wetsuits and boards, and taken down onto the beach, where we were taught the best surfing techniques to get us standing up straight away. Once we were able to correctly stand up on our boards on the sand, our instructors took us out into the surf. They helped each of us in turn to jump on our boards to catch a wave, watching us to provide helpful tips on our technique each time to get us standing up and having fun. It was such a great experience, with fantastic instructors. Highly recommend this experience for anyone who wants to learn to surf!

I received this as a Christmas present last year and finally decided to use it. It was the best experience ever! The instructors were awesome and so paitent! I was soo happy i got to stand up on the board before the end of the lesson! I will def book in more lessons. Thanks :)
