Learn to surf with Sydney's largest and most talked about surf school led by surfing legend Matt Grainger. Join in the fun and exhilaration of catching your first wave whilst soaking up the sun and atmosphere of beautiful Manly Beach.

Always wanted to learn how to surf? Now you can with surfing legend Matt Grainger and his team of experts! Sydney's first surf school provides lessons for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. This two lesson package will have you up on your board in no time, so come and learn with a group of people of your own age group and skill level. This is your chance to gain some essential surfing skills in a relaxed atmosphere with a fun team of professionals.

Important information

  • This experience includes two x 1.5 hour lessons
  • Available on the weekends from 9 - 10:30am, 11 - 12:30, 1 - 2:30pm, 3 - 4:30pm
  • Available on weekdays from 11am-1pm and 1pm-3pm
  • Both lessons must be taken by the same person
  • Please book at least 24 hours in advance of your preferred date
  • Participants must be able to swim 50m and most importantly be prepared to get wet and have some fun
  • Both lessons must be taken by the same person
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Group sizes vary but there is one instructor to eight adults.

The bonus of this activity is that there are no weather constraints, surfing is available all year round.

Swimmers and a towel are the only items that you will need to bring. The provider supplies safe, soft, stable surfboards that are easy to balance, paddle, stand and surf on. Quiksilver wetsuits are also provided to keep you warm all year round.

Loved it - Awesome instructor

I received this for my birthday and thoroughly loved the experience. They provide the surfboard and wetsuit and the instructor was super friendly and really good and what he did. I would definitely do it again!
