Whether you want to have a go for the first time or touch up your skills, you should come and try the newest trend on the water! Stand Up Paddle Boarding is a great way to spend time with your family and friends on the beautiful waters of Manly while getting some exercise in too!

What's included?

1 hour of instruction
Paddle board and paddle hire
Lifejacket if required
1 hour general hire of the board following the lesson

From beginners to advanced, your experienced trainer will guide your group through the steps to becoming a paddle board pro! This 1 hour class is for three or more people. Your instruction will begin on the beach with an introduction to SUP equipment and work up to you paddling into the stunning North Harbour of Manly. All your equipment is included and after your lesson, you will get to use your board for an extra hour. This allows you to test out your newly learnt skills and have a little paddle board adventure of your own, along with your fellow classmates of course!

Session Length

This experience runs for 2 hours, with one hour of tuition and one hour of general hire for afterwards, beginning on the beach

Guidelines

You must be able to swim at least 150m confidently
Minimum age of 16
Weigh no more than 110kg

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This lesson runs with a minimum of 4 people.

Weather

Any winds from S, SSW, SW, WSW and W directions will be closely monitored. Winds over 20 knots from these directions will be unsafe to operate and no equipment will be put in the water. Winds over 10 knots will be closely monitored and conditions will be assessed on the day. Light rain and overcast conditions will not impact operations and tours will go ahead with bookings in these conditions. If your session cannot proceed due to poor weather you will contacted by an agent no later than 1 hour prior to your start time.

Dress Code

You will be getting wet during the lesson so bikinis, boardies and rash shirts are recommended.

The Stand Up Paddle Boarding Was Awesome

I received a Stand Up Paddleboarding lesson for Christmas and it was super fun learning to SUP on a beautiful sunny day. The whole Red Balloon booking process was super user friendly and efficient too. 10/10

Stand Up Paddle boarding lesson was relaxed, fun and safe. Easy to get the hang of, then given tips to increase skill. The instructor was friendly and knowledgeable. 2 hrs was plenty of time to learn and enjoy.

The lesson was cancelled after I arrived as the instructor failed to turn up. I had a 70 k journey to get there. Have now got to rebook another day.

It was a great experience to try paddle boarding, friendly staff, good equipment. A bit too long though, one hour would be enough. I got bored after a while.

That was great, very easy to do it, get stand-up on my first go, guess every one did it on first go. in that bay, the water was clear and not cold, tones fun of this sport, and very easy to start.
