Ever dreamt of creating your own surfboard? Roll up your sleeves because this unique workshop will make your dreams a reality! With the help of world champion surfers and board builders, you'll learn the fundamentals of board shaping to create your very own one-of-a-kind surfboard of up to 7ft.
Experience the art of constructing your very own custom surfboard and immerse yourself in one of the most unique surfboard shaping experiences in Australia. Backed by the expertise of world champion surfers and successful board builders, this workshop will help bring your dream surfboard to life through professional support, innovative technology and a complete, hands-on learning experience.
You will discover the fundamentals of board design, learn the characteristics of what your surfboard can do, and be guided through all the tricks and tools of the trade, including 3D software and shaping tools. Your options are limitless when it comes to your dream surfboard; from 5ft Fish, Hybrid and Shortboard alternatives, through to 7ft Cruisers and Step-ups for those big days or lazy paddlers! Your board will take shape in a five step process, taking over three hours to complete:
There are no minimum participants for this booking to go ahead. However, the experience provider limits the numbers on each workshop for a more personal experience.
Spectators are allowed.
This experience runs in all weather conditions.
You will be on your feet for most of the day and things can get a bit messy so be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and something you're comfortable getting dusty.
Please note: The resin finish will still need to be applied after the workshop, so your board will need to be held and taken to the laminator. There is a four-week turnaround, but this can vary depending on demand. When it's ready, this experience includes complimentary board delivery to your door.
