Experience a private surfing lesson with Australia's original surf camp for beginners. This 2 hour private surfing lesson with one of our qualified surfing instructors will ensure you get the best guidance and advice targeted directly to your individual surfing needs and skill level!

This private surfing lesson is ideal for absolute beginners, or anyone who is finding it difficult to progress the next level! Located at the picturesque Seven Mile Beach, only 2 hours south of Sydney, its the ideal location for beginner surfers with its tame waves and scenic surroundings. You'll meet your qualified surf instructor 30 minutes prior to the arranged lesson time to be fitted with a wetsuit and surfboard. During the surfing lesson, receive advice on tides and conditions, and how to identify the safest part of the beach to surf. Absolute beginners, will be taught from the basics of paddling technique followed by how to stand up on your board and take you into the water to experience catching your first wave! Most people stand up within the first lesson! For those a little more advanced, your instructor will tailor the lesson according to your own particular level.

The private surfing lesson is 2 hours in duration and is perfect to learn the basics of surfing. One of the biggest advantages of the private lesson is that you have the full attention of your surf instructor. All the advice and instructions passed on to you will be directly targeted to improving your own individual surfing skills. Your instructor will also be more than happy to provide you with advice on the right type of board and equipment for you. Surfing is a lifelong pursuit and by starting off with the right advice and guidance from our surfing instructors, you'll easily become addicted!

Important information

Session Length

2 hours of lesson time (please arrive prior for wetsuit fitting so it doesn't interfere with lesson time)

Guidelines

Suitable for all ages, however, children under 12 years must have a parent/guardian present for the lesson
Although the location is ideal for beginner surfers, its recommended those participating are capable of swimming at least 50 metres
No previous surfing experience is necessary!

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Weather

This experience operates in most weather conditions, including rain. Guides will ensure that you only surf in the safest conditions.

Dress Code

All you need to bring is swimwear/boardshorts, 30+ water resistant sunscreen, a towel, and lots of energy! The use of our quality surfboards and wetsuits are included in the package.

Other Info

All surf instructors hold a current Level 1 Surf Coaching, Open Water Bronze Medallion or APPOLA Advanced Resuscitation Certificate and Senior 1st Aid Certificates.

This experience takes place in Gerroa, on the NSW South Coast - just 2 hours south of Sydney.

I had a fantastic private surf lesson. The instructor was easy going, explained the ins and outs of surfing as well as safety in the surf, and seemed as excited as I was to be in such a stunning location with crystal clear water and gentle waves to get me up on that board and riding the surf.

Everything was perfect on the day! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They are great teachers and even had me standing up on my first wave! The beach is ideal for learning to surf and everything is supplied to make things super easy for you. Highly recommended if your thinking of trying you luck at surfing!

My experience was great. It was organised without fuss and the instructor was very patient and tailored the lesson to my needs. If you want to learn to surf, or pick up some good habits and instruction if you surf already then I would recommend the experience to you.

Instructor (Christian) was great; kept it simple and gave constant feedback. If you can't get up on a board with these guys you never will. Now off to buy a board!!
