Ian Luff Motivation Australia Pty Ltd (Est. 1983) is considered the market leader in defensive, advanced and performance driver development programs. In house quality assurance staff training ensures the Drive to Survive™philosophy and implementation meets the requirements of occupational health and safety legislation, corporate and government needs.

The program is an integrated learning experience suitable for any licensed driver irrespective of experience. It is relevant to the vehicle you drive, large-small, sports cars, commercial vehicles or four wheel drives.

Objectives - Increase a driver’s level of awareness while developing low risk behaviour strategies! Develop an understanding of vehicle dynamics, new 5 star safety technologies, related to driver input and how this relates to new/old vehicle technologies! Create a growth mindset in keeping with the ever changing road/driving environment and current road rules!

Outcomes - Greater knowledge combined with improved vision skills, increased forward planning, awareness/anticipation/action. Understand the importance of monitoring speed, managing a safety gap related to the ever-changing environment/road conditions. Develop defensive driving strategies, improve driver behaviour, reduce motor vehicle crashes, injury, fleet running cost.

On the Day

Session Length

This experience takes place on Mondays to Sundays around six times a month. The day begins at 8.30am and finishes at 4.30pm.

Due to class format, you are required to arrive by 8.15am for check-in and registrations. Late arrivals will miss course structure and requirements. This confirms your position at the course.

Numbers on the Day

There will be up to 24 people in a day's session.


The day goes ahead rain or shine. Bring a wet weather jacket and umbrella.

Dress Code

Wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes (no thongs or high heels).

Bring a hat, umbrella, sunscreen and sunnies.

Driver need at least a P plate licence. This experience is suitable for all levels of experience. Every driver needs their own vehicle. No learner drivers.
