Turn your friends green with envy as you experience the power of a V8 car both in the driver's and passenger seat. Grip onto the wheel as you accelerate around the track eight times, before switching seats and letting the professional show you how it's done over two hot laps.

Get ready to experience the thrill of high-performance V8 racing at Sandown Raceway. Upon arrival, you'll meet your professional racing instructor who will provide a comprehensive safety briefing. They'll equip you with a racing suit and helmet, ensuring you're prepared to handle the power of these incredible machines.

Your adrenaline will start racing as you take the driver's seat and learn techniques for navigating the circuit's tight corners and long straightaways. With your instructor's guidance over the headset, you'll push the limits, accelerating to heart-pounding speeds and feeling the sheer power of the V8 engine under your control. After completing eight exhilarating laps, you'll switch places and experience the track from the passenger seat. Your instructor will demonstrate expert car control, taking you on two high-speed hot laps that will leave you breathless.

Session Length

This experience is three hours in duration, including a briefing and drive
Race days are held throughout the year on specified dates
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking time
Once this experience is booked, it is non-refundable and cannot be cancelled, however changes can be made as per below

Guidelines

Participants must be at least 18 years and hold their P-plate license at a minimum
Participants need to be within the maximum height of 194cm and minimum height of 135cm
Participants who arrive on the day of their experience and do not adhere to these guidelines will forfeit their experience
You choose between Ford or Holden Cars. No manual-transmission driving experience necessary
A maximum weight restriction of 130kg applies

Your briefing will be held in a group of approximately 20-25 people.

Spectators

Friends and family are welcome to come along and share your experience at no additional fee. There is plenty of good viewing and photo opportunities at the venue.

A Great Hot Laps Experience

This was a great on-track experience - seeing how a top flight racing driver like John Bowe drives the car (loved the V8 sound from inside the car), how he used the brakes, and how he attacked the corners. John was also very approachable outside of the car, and was happy to talk about motor racing in general, or just to have a chat. I really enjoyed the whole experience, and would highly recommend it for anyone wishing to make a booking.
