    We invite you to come and enjoy our cooking class whilst experiencing the lifestyle and the beauty of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

    We take the best ideas, the freshest local seasonal produce and combine cooking principles, techniques and inspirations gathered from many cooking traditions and cultures to form what we like to eat today.

    You will arrive for your Mediterranean cooking class at 9am and start the day with some refreshments. Get to know the other participants in your group over a cool drink, tea or coffee, and a macadamia fudge delight slice and citrus breakfast cake that have been specially prepared in our kitchen. Introductions are followed with an overview of the day ahead.

    Then it’s time to get hands-on and work together with your new friends to prepare and cook an assortment of sensual Mediterranean dishes. Discover the full flavours, aromas, colours, health benefits and simplicity of Mediterranean cuisine. Dishes are made using local sun-ripened fruit and vegetables, fresh herbs, seafood and other meats. You might make Andalusian gazpacho, Provencal prawns or celebrate the exotic spices of Morocco by cooking chicken tagine with tomatoes and honey.

    But the fun isn’t over yet! Once all the dishes are completed you will sit down together and enjoy a delicious lunch that has been created by you! Enjoy your Mediterranean feast and a glass of wine while overlooking the hinterland and the sparkling coast. This is a great part of the day!

    We keep our cooking classes small to give you the best opportunity to cook your chosen dishes and learn how they are made. After the class you take with you information on the cooking techniques used for each dish, a comprehensive recipe booklet and a pen. You will be inspired to race home and impress your family and friends with your newfound culinary expertise!
    On the Day

    Session Length

    Public cooking classes take place several times a year, usually on weekends. Group classes, privately organised for groups of eight or more, are available by mutual agreement. Your cooking class commences at 9am and concludes at around 2.30pm – 3pm.

    Numbers on the Day

    The price quoted is for one person. There will be between six and eight participants in your cooking class.

    Weather

    This experience takes place indoors and is therefore not affected by the weather.

    Dress Code

    Casual and comfortable clothing is recommended. For safety reasons, you will need to wear closed-in shoes. Aprons will be provided on the day. You may bring your camera if you wish.

    Your instructor is internationally trained and is enthusiastic in sharing her knowledge, experience, ideas and hints with fellow foodies!
