Experience the magic of a hot air balloon flight over Tasmania and be awed by the changing landscape as the sun rises and fills the sky with colour. This 60 minute flight includes transfers from the meeting point and often takes off at different locations, depending on the wind direction on the day.
They say the early bird gets the worm and you'll find out why with this breathtaking hot air balloon flight over northern Tassie. You will meet approximately 90 minutes before sunrise, where you'll be driven from the meeting point to the launch site. The launch site often changes depending on the wind direction on the day. If you are feeling up for it, you can help with the inflation and deflation of the balloon. Once aboard, you will gently take off and experience the waking countryside as the sun rises above the horizon. Indulge in stunning panoramic vistas and learn a thing or two about your surrounds as you float through the sky.
A minimum of six people are required for this experience to go ahead.
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:
A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 passengers per flight.
Weather plays an important role in balloon flights. The pilot has the ultimate decision on the morning of the flight and cancellations are for your safety or to comply with regulations. Reasons to cancel are normally strong winds, rain or low visibility conditions.
This is an outdoor activity, the fields are very often damp or wet at this time of the morning. You do not want to get cold feet, so please bring appropriate shoes or boots (spare shoes and socks is recommended if in any doubt!). Also, ballooning is very much "audience participation" and we can get a little dirty on packing the balloon away so be practical in every sense. Bring a hat, cap, beanie or hoodie to protect your head from the heat of the burner.
