Get off the beaten track and learn about Aboriginal culture from a friendly, knowledgeable Indigenous guide that comes from the area. Located near Wagga Wagga, Wiradjuri country is a beautiful, rugged piece of the outback. This tour gives you the opportunity to get away from tourist spots and learn about this area’s native plantlife and wildlife from one of its Indigenous owners. Plus, you’ll visit Wagga's wetlands (weather permitting) and learn the basics of Wiradjuri language. Mark will discuss Aboriginal art and tell stories about the region.
You'll get morning tea and a light lunch on this tour but that's not all! Be prepared to be tempted by chocolate, lollies and cheese too. You'll finish the tour with visits to the Coolamon Cheese Factory and the Junee Liquorice and Chocolate Factory. Take a behind the scenes look at how these brands create their yummy treats and perhaps purchase some for home.
