The zoo is indoors and just amazing. We met a very cute baby joey along the way and had a very informative tour of the zoo. Breakfast was delicious with a great view of the koalas. This was amazing and I’m not sure why more locals like us don’t know about this yet! The only downside is the early morning wake up but it was so worth it to see some active animals. I’d never seen a koala running around before, just asleep!

Considering we are Australians and also live in a koala corridor, our experience was amazing. To have such great access to the exhibits without the usual crowds and with a lovely, personable guide, who despite her inexperience was well-informed and engaged her audience really well, was fantastic . The breakfast was a typical hot breakfast spread. The closeup encounter with the koala population was worth waiting for. They were certainly closeup and exceeded our expectations of the visit.

The tour guides and other people who worked in the centre were friendly and informative, making it a really pleasurable experience. So so cool to see so many of the animals more active than they usually are during the day. Plenty of breakfast provided, and was actually quite yummy! Loved seeing the koalas up close, and to see so many of them actually munching away at leaves, rather than just sleeping! Also, got to tour the whole zoo and got to pat some of the kangaroos. Only thing to keep in mind is that it went a lot later than stated. By the time we left the centre it was about 9.45! So just something to keep in mind if you have other things planned for your day. But we had no timeframe so we loved it!
