No skipper required and no ticket needed for most hires, just a boat, open water and however long you've booked it for. Boat hire hands over the wheel for the day, whether that means a slow loop around the bay or dropping anchor somewhere quiet for lunch. Pack an esky, round up whoever's easiest to convince, and pick a marina close to home or worth the drive. Book a boat for an afternoon with nowhere in particular to be, or gift someone the day and let them decide where it goes.
