Revel in uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour as you dine in one of Sydney's most prestigious cruising restaurants MV Sydney 2000* with 360-degree waterfront views. We start each High Tea celebration with an Australian glass of pink bubbly, followed by your choice of fine tea. The High Tea experience becomes distinctly local once the tiered platters arrive, topped with sweet and savoury delicacies unlike any other restaurant in the city. Blinis topped with prawns, whole chocolate coated strawberries, mini savoury pastries and more.

PLEASE NOTE: Circular Quay Wharf 6 will be closed for upgrade works from 20 July to 28 August 2026. All Captain Cook Cruises will continue to operate from alternative Circular Quay wharves, and the Ticket Office at Circular Quay Wharf 6 will remain open throughout the closure. Your departure location will be Eastern Pontoon, approximately a 5-minute walk from Wharf 6. Guests can check in at the wharf from 30 minutes before departure or earlier at the Wharf 6 Ticket Office. Please allow extra time for arrival and follow the temporary signage to your departure point.

Cruise operates Wednesday - Sunday (subject to change)
Not available on special event dates including, but not limited to Valentine’s Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day or Australia Day

Guidelines

Adult: 16 years old+
Participants must be 18 years and over to consume alcohol; ID may be required
Anyone below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent
The provider cannot guarantee that certain products or ingredients will not be in the food and they except no liability in this regard
Vessels are stocked with life jackets to support all passengers in the case of an emergency

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider.

Please check-in for boarding passes at the ticket office at least 20 minutes prior to the cruise departure time. *From time to time, due to maintenance and scheduling, vessels can change. Vessels may include Captain Cook 3.

While it was nice, you lose 25 to 30 minutes of the 90 minute cruise when the ship docks twice. The Red Balloon team failed to inform Captain Cook about one of us being vegetarian, thankfully they were able to sort something on the day but not to the same value of the cost

High Tea Cruise was so disappointing.

We were so disappointed with this high tea cruise upon arrival we were squashed into a corner right by the door it felt like the boat was empty but the pushed all the high tea guests into one little corner on top of each other which was very awkward. The cuppachino machine was not working so there was no option to order coffee's. They did not ask us if we would like to order any additional drinks... The cruise seemed rushed 1.5 hours is two little time. We arrived back early and sat in the harbour for about 20min... There is not enough time to finish all the food so myself and the table next to us asked if we would be allowed to take some of the food on our plates with us and they said they don't have take away boxes and they don't do take aways it company policy... So my question is all the untouched canapés etc do they just throw all of that in the dust bin? That seems like such a waste especially if the guests that payed for it would have wanted to take it??? I would definitely not recommend this High Tea Cruise it's not worth the money.
